Travel Bug Research Card

Travel Bug

Canada,

I would travel to Canada because it’s an amazing country! There is just so much to do!

If I went to Canada I would go to the West Edmonton Mall, it’s the biggest mall in the world. It has A Water Park, A Theme Park, and even multiple hotels. Along with a staggering 800 shops! I would also go to a place called Banff, it’s a huge skiing resort and supposed to be one of the best in the country.

I would also like to visit Old Quebec. It is a beautiful part of Canada. It has a rich French heritage, it’s also the only walled city north of Mexico! It has beautiful old architecture, cobblestone streets and an amazing culture.

I would like to go to Niagara Falls too, it is really quite the sight. It has an impressive amount of things to do as well in the area. There is: live music, theatre, museums, cruises, shopping, golfing and even camping. You can visit any time of year and there are still activities to do as well as sightseeing all the time!

I would also visit a place called Churchill, it is known as the polar capital of the world. There is also the chance of seeing a Beluga Whale, the northern lights, and it has also become a amazing bird watching spot!

Doggos Research Card

Doggos

Pembroke Welsh Corgi,

These dogs can be quite intelligent animals, they are relatively easy to train as well. They are absolutely adorable! Honestly they are the cutest small dogs ever. Most of the time smaller dogs tend to be viscous and uncute. Yet this animal somehow does not fall under those things. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a loving playful dog and loves their human family.

Some farmers train these dogs to herd cattle, they are fearless and independent doggos. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a good house dog too! They are Loyal, intelligent and not very aggressive. They will fit into pretty much any household. They are good with other pets and even older children.

I have decided to do three different animals because all three of these dogs I would 100% have and two of them I have had before, and one I still do.

Alaskan Malamute,

These dogs are sensational as well! They are incredible pets, I would know I have one myself. These dogs are immensely strong, and affectionate dogs. They are also loyal, playful yet they are also very dignified. They are easily recognisable from their puffed up tail that is almost always curled in a circle on their back. Their sticky upy ears, and their substantial bones. The Alaskan Malamute tends to stand at around 23 to 25 inches of the ground up to their shoulders. The Picture is actualy off my dog that I have now, which is a Alaskan Malamute.

Japanese Akita Cross Husky,

These are also very loyal and loving dogs. I used to have one of these too. They are incredible with children. I grew up with mine and could fall asleep on his tummy if I wanted. (Trust me I have done it before.) These dogs inherited the best qualities from both their parents. They are also commonly known as Huskita, but I think the longer

name is better. I mean look at the picture, need I say more.

How can a camel survive in the desert?

Well that’s a good question! carry on reading to find out how!

Over the years camels have adapted to the extreme heat of the desert. Unlike other animals, all of a camels fat is stored in their humps making it easier for them to release heat from their body. They can also survive in extreme cold tempratures they have an very thick coat to keep them warm in up too -40 c. Thats Crazy!

Well there yoy go now you know how a camel can survive in the desert! You even know a extra fact about how they survivie in the cold! See you again soon!

Blog Challenge

Today I did another Blog Challenge, where I watched a video about making up your own animal! You can have a few animals and squish them together to make a new one! Or you can make up your own completely. The person doing this used pencil first so if he made a mistake he could rub it out, I saw him do this a couple times. Then after he was satisfied with what he had made he would then go over it in pen, and then adding final details.

My favourite animal is a dog! I have no others really, dogs top everything. However, I do not like cats. They are mean, they scratch you and even go to the toilet in your vege garden. How rude!

If I could choose two different animals to mix up I would choose a dog and polar bear. I would do this because a dog is the cutest and kindest animal in the universe. A polar bear is big and fluffy! Put those to together and you have a fluffy cute and kind polog! Who wouldn’t want one.

I don’t know how to turn it round so you might have to tilt you head.

Blog Challenge!

I don’t think it is possible to have super strength, at least not that much! If I had 1000 times the strength I used to, I would have to be most careful when petting my dog. She is wondeful, I love her. I enjoyed  looking for the dog that resembled me the most. Not in shape or size, but posture and FOOD!

Smarties Investigation Report

Problem:

We wonder what the most common colour smartie you can get in a smartie box?

Plan:

  • We would pour all of our smarties onto a paper towel.
  • We would sort our smarties into different colour piles.
  • We would count the number of smarties in each pile.
  • We would work out the frequency.
  • We will use a table where we can store our information.
  • We can put our information into a bar graph.
  • We would be able to see the most frequent colour in our smartie box.

Data:

Table of Smartie Colours

Colour Tally Frequency
Red / 1
Yellow // 2
Green 0 0
Blue 0 0
Purple //// 4
Pink /// 3
Brown // 2
Orange // 2
Total 14

The graph above shows the frequency of smarties in our group.

I notice statements!

Charlie: I notice that we have no green or blue smarties but the rest of the class has 19 blue smarties and 9 green smarties.

Colour Frequency
Purple 19
Brown 15
Green  9
Yellow 16
Blue 19
Pink  18
Red 8
Total 104

The graph above is the frequency of the classes smarties.

I notice statements!

Charlie: I notice that blue and purple are the most common smarties in the class, with a total of 19 each.

Conclusion:

We found that every smarty packet had a different amount of smarties, we found this odd because we thought that the smarty boxes would all have the same amount.

We also found out that in our class, the most common colours were blue and purple with a staggering total of 19 each. The least amount of smarties was red with only 8 smarties in the whole class. Whereas our group’s most common colour was purple with 4 smarties.
